Planting now

October is tulip month

Soil is still warm and nights are cool — the window where roots establish before the ground freezes. These are the three we would plant this week.

  • Tulip ‘Purple Prince’plant 15 cm deep · blooms April
  • Narcissus ‘Ice Follies’naturalises well · blooms March
  • Allium ‘Purple Sensation’plant 3× bulb depth · blooms May

We sell bulbs the way a nursery does —
by name, by size, and by the week they belong in the ground.

Common questions

The things gardeners ask us most — answered straight, without the small print.

Ask us anything →

When will my bulbs actually ship?
We ship when it is the right time to plant in your zone — not when you order. Spring-flowering bulbs go out September to November, summer bulbs March to May. You will see a shipping window estimate on the product page before you pay.
What if a bulb doesn't come up?
Send us a photo within 60 days of the expected bloom time and we replace it or refund it — no return shipping needed.
How many bulbs do I need?
Rough guide: 10–15 tulips per square foot for a dense bed, 5–7 for a naturalised drift, 3–5 per 30 cm patio pot.
Can I plant straight away, or do I store them?
Plant within a week of arrival if the ground isn't frozen. Otherwise keep them in a cool, dark, dry place — a garage or shed is perfect.

Bulbs. Gardens. Colour.

Specialist Flower Bulb Growers

Our promise to you: We are a specialist flower bulb nursery, not a general plant store. Every hyacinth, tulip, narcissus and amaryllis we ship is graded by hand, checked for firmness and disease, and stored at the right temperature so it arrives dormant and ready to plant. We grow for gardeners who want reliable colour, not surprises.

Happy Gardening!
